I’ve had the opportunity to be the member of two different writing groups in the last six years.
One group met twice a month, we wrote poetry to express ourselves, to heal wounds and to enjoy the beauty of everyday life. John Fox, author of Poetic Medicine, was our group leader; he says this about writing on his website “Poems stir us, encourage us to wake, breathe deeply and experience life! Poems are alive. They hold energy. You can discover this life and energy in your words, in the cadence of your voice, and the feeling inside your body upon reading a poem.”
I was a member of this writing group for six years and produced a number of poems that I am very proud of, for they were an expression of my life.

The second writing group was made up of talented women writers and poets: Betsy Gilliland, Wendy Lewis, Eileen McLaughlin, Monique Mulbry, Traci Post , Liza Wood and me; we called ourselves Write On! We made a decision to self-publish our favorite stories and poems, the result was an amazing book that is available on Amazon.
